CV. Kurnia Mandiri adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang kemasan makanan, dimana salah satu produk yang diproduksi adalah kertas bungkus. Tata letak fasilitas pada produksi kertas bungkus masih belum optimal, dikarenakan adanya aliran material yang tidak efektif, dan kondisi kerja yang buruk. Di sisi lain, tata letak fasilitas produksi berperan penting dalam menjaga tingkat produktifitas suatu perusahaan yang bergerak bidang manufaktur. Dalam penelitian ini akan dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja systematic layout planning untuk memberikan usulan perbaikan tata letak fasilitas produksi kertas bungkus. Analisis yang telah dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tata letak fasilitas produksi kertas bungkus saat ini memiliki jarak tempuh material handling sebesar 786,72 meter dengan waktu tempuh sebesar 33,49 menit untuk produksi setiap roll bungkus kertas cokelat. Sedangkan usulan perbaikan tata letak fasilitas produksi alternatif satu memiliki jarak tempuh material handling sebesar 291,46 meter dengan waktu tempuh sebesar 21,51 menit untuk produksi setiap roll kertas bungkus cokelat. Usulan perbaikan tata letak fasilitas produksi alternatif dua memiliki jarak tempuh material handling sebesar 310,02 meter dengan waktu tempuh sebsear 21,74 menit untuk produksi setiap roll kertas bungkus cokelat. Sehingga untuk usulan perbaikan tata letak fasilitas produksi kertas bungkus, digunakan tata letak alternatif satu dengan jarak tempuh material handling dan waktu tempuh paling minimal./CV. Kurnia Mandiri is a manufacturing company that engage in the food packaging sector, where one of the products this company produces is paper wrapping. Facilities layout of paper wrapping production in this company is not optimal yet, which caused by ineffective material flow, and bad working conditions. On the other side, production facilities layout plays an important role in maximize manufacturing company’s productivity. In this research, analysis will be done by framework of thinking named systematic layout planning to create proposal for the paper wrapping production’s facilities layout improvement. Analysis showed that current production’s facilities layout has material handling’s distance in the amount of 786,72 meter, with material handling’s time in the amount of 33,49 minute to produce one brown paper roll. While the first alternative has material handling distance in the amount of 291,46 meter with material handling’s time in the amount of 21,51 minute to produce one brown paper roll. The second alternative has material handling distance in the amount of 310,02 meter with material handling’s time in the amount of 21,74 minute to produce one brown paper roll. For the conclusion of this research, alternative one was selected for the improvement of layout facility of wrapping paper production, due to the most minimal distance and time for material handling.
