Abstract

Pengetahuan tentang pelanggan merupakan kunci dalam merencakan suatu strategi yang baik bagi perusahaan. Perusahaan membutuhkan informasi pelanggan yang efektif dari dalam ruang toko dan mengembangkan menjadi stimulus terhadap perilaku pembelian produk secara umum. Keputusan pembelian yang dilakukan belum tentu direncanakan (impulse buying) dipengaruhi akibat adanya rangsangan lingkungan belanja. Penelitian yang berjudul “Efek Visual Merchandising Terhadap Impulse Buying Behaviour: Studi Pada Toko Fesyen Zara” merupakan suatu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan positif atau negatif antar faktor – faktor yang mampu merangsang impulse buying. Adapun 5 faktor yang menjadi variabel window display, mannequin display, floor merchandising display, promotion signage display, dan cross merchandising display terhadap impulse buying di toko fesyen Zara. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik survei quota sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara membagikan 120 kuesioner yang dibagikan secara langsung (selfadministered) pada responden, yaitu konsumen yang berbelanja di toko fesyen Zara. Sedangkan metode analisa data menggunakan Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) digunakan setelah data diuji dengan uji reliabilitas dan uji validitas. Pre-test kuesioner disebarkan terlebih dahulu ke 30 responden. Hasil penelitian diharapkan memberikan informasi kepada manajemen toko dan peneliti untuk bisa memahami hubungan structural relationship antara faktor – faktor yang diteliti dan impulse buying apparel impulse buying behaviour yang terjadi di Zara
