Abstract

Tata letak fasilitas adalah tata cara pengaturan fasilitas-fasilitas pabrik untuk menunjang kelancaran aktifitas produksi. PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi mesin dan spare-parts untuk industri makanan dan minuman. Perusahaan ini memiliki permasalahan pada tata letak fasilitas produksinya. Penyebabnya adalah proses produksi yang berurutan diletakkan berjauhan, seperti bagian produksi pemotongan ke bagian produksi rolling, dan pekerjaan harus melalui bagian produksi lainnya untuk bagian produksi yang dituju sehingga menyebabkan total jarak yang ditempuh dan total waktu yang dibutuhkan tinggi. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang ulang tata letak fasilitas produksi tangki dengan menggunakan activity relationship charts (ARC) dan dimensionless block diagram (DBD). Dengan menggunakan ARC didapatkanlah derajat kedekatan untuk setiap bagian produksi, sedangkan dengan menggunakan DBD didapatkanlah peta awal yang tidak berdimensi yang disusun sesuai dengan nilai derajat kedekatan. Hasil yang didapatkan setelah menggunakan time study adalah tata letak alternatif 1 yang lebih efisien, karena jarak total yang ditempuh oleh pekerja berkurang dari 1040,89 m mejadi 372,92 m, sedangkan total waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk tranportasi berkurang juga dari membutuhkan 68 menit menjadi membutuhkan 24 menit. Dengan menerapkan tata letak fasilitas alternatif 1, nilai efisiensi menjadi 64,17% daripada tata letak fasilitas sebelumnya./Facility layout is a procedure for setting up factory facilities to support the smooth running of production activities. PT XYZ is a company that produces machinery and spare-parts for the food and beverage industry. This company has problems with the layout of its production facilities. The reason is that successive production processes are placed far apart, such as the cutting production section to the rolling production section, and the work has to go through other parts of the production for the intended production section, causing the total distance traveled and the total time required to be high. The purpose of this research is to redesign the layout of the tank production facility using activity relationship charts (ARC) and dimensionless block diagrams (DBD). By using ARC, the degree of closeness to each part of the production is obtained, whereas by using DBD, a dimensionless initial map is obtained which is arranged according to the value of the degree of proximity. The results obtained after using the time study are alternative layout 1 which is more efficient, because the total distance traveled by workers is reduced from 1040.89 m to 372.92 m, while the total time needed for transportation is also reduced from needing 68 minutes to needing 24 minutes. By implementing alternative facility layout 1, the efficiency value becomes 64.17% compared to the previous facility layout.
