Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat ditandai dengan berkembangnya perangkat-perangkat lunak yang terdapat pada sistem komputer. Salah satunya adalah software Minitab yang digunakan dalam pengolahan data statistik sehingga perlu diketahui kemampupakaian (usability) dari software tersebut. Pengukuran usability dari software Minitab ini menggunakan gabungan dimensi usability menurut Nielsen (1993) dan ISO-9241. Dimensi learnability diukur dari nilai pretest dan jumlah dari bagian modul yang dilihat. Dimensi efficiency diukur dari waktu pengerjaan pre-test dan waktu perbaikan kesalahan pre-test. Dimensi errors diukur dari jumlah kesalahan pre-test. Dimensi memorability diukur dari jumlah kesalahan post-test dan dimensi satisfaction diukur dari penyebaran kuesioner tingkat kepuasan. Langkah-langkah dalam eksperimen ini meliputi penentuan lokasi eksperimen, kriteria responden eskperimen, indikator pengukuran dimensi usability, pembuatan modul, perancangan kuesioner, training, pengerjaan soal pre-test dan post-test serta pengisian kuesioner. Berdasarkan pada hasil eksperimen dari 58 mahasiswa aktif Teknik Industri Universitas Pelita Harapan dari angkatan 2008, 2009, dan 2010, dapat diketahui bahwa tingkat usability dari software Minitab yang diaplikasikan pada peta kendali EWMA adalah sebesar 0,61 (good). Apabila dilihat dari setiap dimensi usability-nya, maka tingkat usability untuk dimensi learnability adalah sebesar 0,71 (good), dimensi efficiency sebesar 0,64 (good), dimensi errors sebesar 0,44 (moderate), dimensi memorability sebesar 0,30 (poor), dan dimensi satisfaction sebesar 0,81 (excellent). / The rapid advancement of technology was marked by development of the software in computer system. One of the examples is Minitab that is being used in processing statistical data. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance to know the usability of this software. The usability measurement for Minitab is formed from the combination of usability dimensions from Nielsen and ISO-9421. Dimension of learnability is measured from pre-test grade and number of parts of the module. Dimension of efficiency is measured by the length of time consumed in pre-test and by the length of time in correcting pre-test. Dimension of errors is measured from the number of mistakes made by the participants in pre-test. Dimension of memorability is measured from the number of mistakes made by the participants in post-test and dimension of satisfaction is measured from distribution of a questionnaire. The steps of this experiment begin with defining the location of experiment, criteria of participants, indicators of usability dimensions, design of module, design of questionnaire, training, pre-test, post-test and fill the questionnaire. According to the result of the experiment from 58 Industrial Engineering students in University of Pelita Harapan in graduating class of 2008, 2009, and 2010, shows that the usability levels for Minitab in EWMA control chart is 0.61 (good). If it was seen by each of the usability dimensions, the usability levels for learnability is 0.71 (good), for efficiency is 0.64 (good), for errors is 0.44 (moderate), for memorability is 0.3 (poor), and for satisfaction is 0.81 (excellent).
