Abstract

Konsep pembuatan barang dengan penghematan pemakaian ruang dikenal dengan sebutan collapsible. Beranjak dari penelitian sebelumnya tentang “Pengangkat Tabung (Gallon) Air Minum Dengan Sistem Mekanik” (Hansen ,2008), akan dibuat sebuah alat bantu baru dengan memasukkan konsep collapsible, sehingga alat tesebut memiliki dimensi yang lebih kecil dan akan tetap berfungsi dengan baik. Konsep collapsible yang dapat dipakai dengan tujuan memperkecil dimensi alat bantu adalah fungsi menekuk (folding), fungsi meluncur (sliding) dan fungsi memutar (rolling). Hasil dimensi yang didapat dari penerapan sistem collapsible pada alat bantu baru adalah: panjang 31 cm, lebar 50 cm dan tinggi 100 cm ini lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan alat bantu sebelumnya yang berdimensi: panjang 50 cm, lebar 50 cm dan tinggi 139 cm. Penggerak manual digunakan sebuah tuas yang dilalui sebuah gear box serta katrol ganda sebagai penggeraknya. Penggunaan sistem penggerak pada alat bantu memberikan keuntungan mekanis mencapai 18,3 , gaya yang dibutuhkan untuk memutar tuas adalah 15 N. Dalam pembuatan alat bantu ini digunakan bahan-bahan yang umum dan mudah ditemukan di tokotoko perkakas. Biaya yang dikeluarkan dalam pembuatan alat adalah Rp 1.285.000,- / A collapsible concept is widely use for space saving. This report is a futher development of designing a lift for drinking water gallon based om a previous report about “Drinking Water Gallon Lift with A Mechanics System” (Hansen , 2008), where a new lift is designed with absorbing a collapsible concept to make it more compact, less dimension and can be usefull as it is. The concept of collapsible being absorbed to the design is: a folding function, sliding function, and a rolling function. The result of absorbing a collapsible concept on a new design of a lift with smaller dimension has been archived. The new lift has dimensions of: length 31 cm, wide 50 cm and high 100 cm compared with previous lift the length is 50 cm, wide 50 cm and high 139 cm. A new lift is much smaller and compact and could fulfill its function required. The mechanism to lift the gallon with aid of a crank and a gear box and also use doubled pulley system. These systems lift a drinking water gallon to the top of a water dispenser. This system also has 18.3 point of mechanical advantage. By applying only 15 N of force to lift. The entire components are very common and easy to find the home depo. The cost of building this lift is Rp. 1.285.000,-
