Abstract

There are many business in food industry nowadays such as restaurant, café, food court and more. Because of the competition in this industry, people need to make new ideas to keep the business running. One idea is to invent a theme on the café or restaurant to give a new and different atmosphere as the usual places to eat. There are plenty of themes that can be applied, one of them is home café which studied in this research. White Seven Café House is a café which is intended to become a second home for young people, especially college student. This café provides facilities needed, such as mini bar area for relaxing, study area for studying and working on assignments as well games area for having fun. The investment analysis for the feasibility study is conducted using three methods, which are net present value, internal rate of return and payback period. There are two scenarios that are purchase and rent scenario. Both scenarios result feasible because the NPV has a positive value, Rp. 170.989.426,52 for rent scenario and Rp. 1.381.559.010,44 for purchase scenario, the IRR for rent is 144% and 19% for purchase, higher than the Minimum Attractive Rate of Return which is 15.54% and PBP result under the target that is six years, 1 year 3 months 8 days for rent and 4 years 2 months 11 days for purchase. From the results, it can be concluded that the business is feasible.
