The Community Service is an activity which aims to help a certain community without expecting anything in return. Through Community Service students are able to share the knowledge they have gained in the University to the community. The purpose of this Community Service is to raise awareness of the importance of waste sorting and give education on household waste sorting because the waste problem in Indonesia has negatively affected the tourism sector in Indonesia. Other than the waste that is produced in the tourism destination, the waste that is produced by the household in the city might also end up in the ocean, which can be tourism destinations in Indonesia, if the waste is not properly disposed and managed. Therefore, the Community Service team will share their knowledge to the High School Students about waste sorting, which can be applied whenever waste sorting is possible to be done in order to avoid the waste scattered around and contaminate the surrounding environment and help the next step of the waste management process, which is recycling. The contribution of all citizens of Indonesia for sorting their waste is required for effective waste management.
