Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara kesatuan yang dihuni oleh masyarakat yang berasal dari latar belakang berbeda-beda, mulai dari suku, agama, kepercayaan, adat, dan budaya yang sangat bervariasi. Namun, masih banyak rakyat Indonesia yang belum memiliki kesadaran penuh akan pentingnya kesediaan untuk menerima keberagaman (pluralitas). Akibatnya, muncul konflik-konflik yang berujung kepada penolakan terhadap kelompok masyarakat yang berbeda, salah satunya adalah intoleransi agama. Inayah Wulandari Wahid, putri bungsu dari Abdurrahman Wahid, memiliki cita-cita untuk menularkan semangat cinta pluralisme yang didapatkan dari sang Ayah dan berupaya untuk meneruskan perjuangan beliau dalam memperjuangkan Indonesia yang lebih inklusif dan toleran. Beliau mengimplementasikan hal tersebut dengan memanfaatkan media sosial (Instagram & Twitter) untuk menanamkan paham pluralisme dan toleransi kepada generasi muda serta membentuk suatu organisasi bernama Positive Movement. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori konvergensi simbolik untuk melihat tema fantasi utama yang menjadi penggerak Inayah Wahid untuk menyebarkan nilai-nilai pluralisme dan toleransi, serta teori gerakan sosial yang dijadikan sebagai teori dasar gerakan Positive Movement. Fokus utama peneliti adalah bagaimana Inayah Wahid berupaya untuk menjadikan kaum muda sebagai agen perubahan dan perdamaian untuk memberantas radikalisme dan intoleransi melalui media sosial dan gerakan Positive Movement. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data berupa observasi nonpartisipan dengan mengamati media sosial Inayah Wahid serta melakukan in-depth interview terhadap Inayah Wahid. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa harapan Inayah Wahid (terciptanya masyarakat Indonesia yang saling menghargai dan mendukung satu sama lain) berhubungan erat terhadap tema fantasi yang dianut beliau, yaitu terciptanya perdamaian di Indonesia. Tema fantasi tersebut terrefleksi ke dalam cara-cara beliau untuk mengimplementasikan pluralisme dan toleransi, yaitu terlihat melalui konten yang diunggah di media sosial dan edukasi mindset generasi muda yang berlaku dalam gerakan Positive Movement. / Indonesia is an unitary state inhabited by people who came from multiple different backgrounds, ranging from various religions, beliefs, customs, and cultures. Nevertheless, there’s still many of Indonesians who do not yet possess the awareness of the importance of a willingness to accept diversity (plurality). As the result, there were conflicts emerged that led to rejection of different groups of people, one of the example is religion intolerance. Inayah Wulandari Wahid, the youngest daughter of Abdurrahman Wahid, aspires to influence the spirit of the love towards pluralism she received from her father and strives to continue her struggle to make Indonesia as a more inclusive and tolerant country. She implemented this by utilizing social media (Instagram & Twitter) to instill a sense of pluralism and tolerance in young generations and form an organization called Positive Movement. In this study, the researcher use Symbolic Convergence Theory to see the main fantasy themes that have motivated Inayah Wahid to spread the values of pluralism and tolerance, as well as Social Movement Theory which is used as the basic theory of Positive Movement. Researcher’s main focus is to find how Inayah Wahid aims to make the youths as the agents of change and peace to eradicate radicalism and intolerance through social media and Positive Movement. This study use descriptive qualitative method with data collection in the form of non-participant observation by observing Inayah Wahid's social media and conducting in-depth interview with Inayah Wahid. Through this research, the researcher was able to conclude that Inayah Wahid’s hope in the future (Indonesians that respects and supports one another) is closely aligns to her fantasy theme (peace in Indonesia). This fantasy theme is reflected in her ways of implementing pluralism and tolerance, which could be seen through the contents that have been uploaded through social medias and the youth’s mindset education that applies in Positive Movement.
