Pos AdMail is a company that provides services in printing and documents inserting. The company was established in 2003 and currently, information technology system in only applied in the production process. The main problem for the company is the paper-based system, which is used to record daily transaction. Accessing and managing past records data and also producing reports have been great difficulties for the company because of the paper-based system which makes very difficult to gather and process the data. To solve the problem, AdMail wants to adopt a new system which includes documenting and transaction proccessing abilities. The methods use to gather requirements are interview, document analysis and direct observation. The development method is using the SDLC evolutionary protyping methodology and UML. The tools used to develop this new system are Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000. The design phase of the system will include creating the database structure. As in the implementation phase, a prototype of the system is constructed along with testing the system and installation plan. In conclusion, there are numerous advantages for SBU Pos AdMail to adopt and implement the new system. The system has met the business’s requirements and will enable the company to easily access every details information of transaction, inventory, reports and products. In the end, the company will operate more effective and efficient than before.
