This report describes the analysis, design, and implementation of a shipping management system in Cahaya Mandiri building material store. This system is needed to assist owners in managing that need to be shipped. Almost all goods purchased at this store are to be shipped to customer. The scope of this paper is limited only to shipping goods to locations around the shop. This final report covers the analysis, design and implementation plans for the shipping management system for the store. Analysis begins by gathering the requirements for the system through interviews, observations, and document analysis that used to help the analyst understand the user needs for the system. The system is modeled using UML 2.0 to describe what system supposed to do. After analysing the system, the next step is designing the interface of system and then implement the system by testing the system and installation the system. Analysis, design and implementation are conducted repeatedly in a cycle known as the prototyping method. Every outcome of each cycle will be given to the user to obtain feedback so that the system is developed in accordance to the needs of user. Using this method, any necessary changes or revisions can be made directly without having to start from the beginning. To solve the problem of the current shipping method, the proposed system will be able to provide information about transporting vehicle’s capacity and the shipping route; determining the best possible shipping method automatically. The shipping system can be automatically determined so that can overcome the problem from the current shipping method. The system can give some of information about route of shipping goods, transporting vehicle’s capacity, and transporting vehicle which go back to store late.
