This final year project focuses on developing a computerized system to help, support and assists business processes at Glori Hardware Store. Glori Hardware Store is a hardware store that sell many kind of irons, paints, spandex, polycarbonate and so on. The current system at Glori Hardware Store is still using manual operation to manage its business transaction, files and data. Based on this situation, some files or data are missing and the searching process take more time and also the probability for human error to occur is high. On special cases, the record history of customer’s credit do not work properly. Because all of this, the proposed system has main function to easily manage the data, probability lost data is low, minimize human error. Besides the main function, the proposed system also offers security control by using different access level in using the system. The development of this system is based on RAD ( Rapid Application Development) with prototyping methodology. The phase of prototyping methodology consist of planning, analysis, design, and implementation. The tools to develop this application are Visual Basic, Crystal Report 8.5, SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager. This proposed system offers several features to help and support the users which is the owner and staff to manage data, to make it easier to produce reports, to minimize human error especially in calculation and also produce a graphic of best seller item at Glori’s ironmongomery. This application can also record customer’s purchase items and payments. This proposed system is expected to give Glori Hardware Store an improvement for their business transactions and processes.
