Abstract
The phenomenon is happening lately there are many places of education for children pre-school is largely still a lot less attention to physical factors, psychological as well as safety and comfort for kids that age. They prefer the terms of profit (material) and prestige (fame) in establishing a place of education, while for the need for play and learning space is still less well-organized. Various studies will be done to achieve the purposes of research include the study of literature regarding the application of the scale dimension in Kindergarten project, development studies from the addition of the space program and a reduction function that occurs in the changing times, and case studies with the object of research in the form of buildings Kindergarten is awakened in South Jakarta as a comparison in the application of the scale, proportion and space programs. The ultimate goal of this paper is a proposal design of scale and proportion of space in the kindergarten that meets the needs of the space required on the child's current educational developments and to create spaces that provide opportunities for children to develop their creativity. The design also consider the environmental context as well as the site through site analysis methods to maintain scale and proportion of kindergarten.
