Housing which is known as residential have some connections with the city. It is because residential is an element of the city, where it’s development will influence the activity of a city. A healthy development of a city can be seen from the fulfillment of the basic housing support facilities such as clean water, electricity, and waste disposal sites in accordance with the standards of a healthy home which is healthy, safe, and comfortable. Jakarta also has some problems in housing settlements such as slums on the riverbank of Ciliwung. Kampung Pulo which is located on the riverbank of Ciliwung have a problem in it’s density, with the level of density is 683persons/Ha and the lack of clean water facilities and waste disposal facilities. This problem affects the settlers of Ciliwung banks to dispose their garbage directly into the river, which resulted in the degradation of riverbeds and groundwater quality. To resolve this problem, I assume the need to revitalize the slum areas of Kampung Pulo on the riverbank of Ciliwung. The area itself is revitalized with the development of public housing which fulfill the requirement standards of a healthy house and neighborhood improvement. The research method that will be used area literature study and case studies, by comparing and analyzing some of the public housing projects for low income people that can be used as a reference in designing public housing for the settlers of slum area on the riverbank of Ciliwung in Kampung Pulo
