Football is one of the favorite sports in the world, likewise one of the most popular sports in Indonesia. Indonesia shows their enthusiasm of football by giving their best effort to prepare and implement either in organizations, players, and competitions. As for current, the effort to advance their football progress is not supported by the existence of stadium that qualifies for national or international matches. Indonesia which also registered to host World Cup 2022, failed to qualify in preliminary stages. One of the reason causes Indonesia failed to host World Cup can be lack of stadium which qualify for international matches. The need of the stadium is keep increasing which more and more football clubs play in national competition. As for current, there are 2 national football competitions exist, because of the internal problem in PSSI (Indonesian Football Association). As number of stadiums which not qualify for international matches often cause the match like being in the middle of “puddle”. Some of football stadiums in Indonesia do not covered, thus this condition can bring discomfort to the spectator. The purpose of this study is to know the system of wide span structure which suitable to applied, and build a football stadium which concern to the safety and comfort to spectators. Method which is being used is a qualitative approach. Qualitative approach can be obtained from literature, article about international standard of a stadium, good implementation of a stadium in development which covers structure, safety and comfort to spectators in football stadium.
