In this competitive era, it is generally believed that hard work is key to entrepreneurial success. A misconception on true determinants of entrepreneurial success arises as this social norm burgeon in popularity, which result in many downfall of businesses and ultimately, bleeding of nations. This paper aims to explore the nature of entrepreneurial passion whilst disclosing the relationship between harmonious passion and obsessive passion and resilience. This discovery was facilitated by testing a pathway between passion and entrepreneurial success mediated by sustained entrepreneurial commitment and resilience. Electronic survey approach was utilized and survey was completed by (n=223) Indonesian entrepreneurs. The findings were derived from structural equation modelling analysis and concludes that harmonious passion affects directly and indirectly to entrepreneurial success mediated by resilience, and obsessive passion indirectly to entrepreneurial success mediated by resilience. Further, Limitations faced were based on inadequacy of representatives for the population and resources. Apparently, this study is the first one to test the theoretical constructs of passion and resilience in the context of entrepreneurship on Indonesian sample of entrepreneurs. To sum up, both types of passion contributes to entrepreneurial success and are crucial to individual level resilience. Obsessive passion is imperative to create persistence for one's venture, but not linked to entrepreneurial success ultimately. In addition to existing literature, this study would also contribute to understand the entrepreneurial passions in Indonesian context.
