Abstract

During the emerging adulthood stage, the developmental stage is focused on the process of independence and figuring about work, love and worldview which requires extensive exploration. This exploration provides both chances for positive development and negative turnabout, hence, resilience is an advantageous characteristic in this process of figuring out which includes challenges and failures. Other than personal characteristics, family factors, social support and various other factors may affect resilience. Father’s involvement itself has been shown to have underlying and direct effect towards resilience, hence this research is designed to see the impact of father’s involvement on the resilience of bachelor’s degree fresh graduates in Jabodetabek, specified to those searching for a job. The hypothesis is that there is significant impact of father’s involvement to the resilience of these fresh graduates. Result shows null hypothesis is rejected and there is significant impact of father’s involvement on resilience (F(1,98)=10.711, p=0.001, R2=0.099,R2adjusted=0.089). In addition, all three dimensions (engagement, accessibility, responsibility) of father’s involvement significantly impact resilience and lastly father’s involvement is significantly higher in married fathers compared to divorced father./Pada tahapan emerging adulthood, tugas perkembangannya adalah untuk menjadi lebih mandiri dan fokus mengenai pekerjaan, percintaan dan wawasan dunia yang membutuhkan eksplorasi. Proses ini menyediakan kesempatan untuk perkembangan lebih baik atau menambah resiko pada hal-hal negatif, maka dari itu resiliensi merupakan karakteristik yang menguntungkan pada proses eksplorasi dimana aka nada hambatan dan kegagalan. Selain dari karakteristik personal atau individu, terdapat faktor keluarga, dukungan sosial dan masih banyak faktor lainnya yang berdampak kepada resiliensi. Keterlibatan ayah sendiri memiliki dampak secara langsung dan tidak langsung terhadap resiliensi, maka dari itu penelitian ini dikhususkan untuk melihat dampak dari keterlibatan ayah pada resiliensi fresh graduates sarjana di Jabodetabek yang sedang mencari pekerjaan. Hipotesanya adalah bahwa ada dampak signifikan dari keterlibatan ayah pada resiliensi fresh graduates sarjana di Jabodetabek. Hasil menunjukan bahwa hipotesa nol ditolak dan terdapat dampak signifikan keterlibatan ayah pada resilience (F(1,98)=10.711, p=0.001, R2=0.099,R2adjusted=0.089). Sebagai tambahan, ditemukan juga bahwa ketiga dimensi keterlibatan ayah (engagement, accessibility dan responsibility) memiliki dampak signifikan kepada resiliensi dan yang terakhir tingkat keterlibatan ayah juga lebih tinggi secara signifikan pada ayah yang masih menikah dibandingan ayah yang bercerai.
