Abstract

Kasus dating violence banyak terjadi di Indonesia, bahkan Jakarta dan Tangerang menjadi salah satu provinsi dengan angka kasus kekerasan tertinggi di Indonesia. Dating violence menjadi fenomena paling sering dialami oleh dewasa muda yang memiliki tugas perkembangan untuk menjalin hubungan romantis, dimana ada konflik dalam hubungan pacaran yang tidak terselesaikan dengan baik. Di sisi lain, penyelesaian konflik yang efektif dilakukan dengan saling percaya dan komunikasi yang baik. Penyelesaian konflik sendiri berkaitan dengan adult romantic attachment, terutama karena adanya internal working model yang menjadi representasi pengalaman penyelesaian konflik individu bersama orang tuanya dulu yang diterapkan pada hubungan romantisnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh adult romantic attachment terhadap dating violence pada dewasa muda yang berpacaran. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah dewasa muda yang sedang berpacaran minimal 2 tahun dan berdomisili di Jakarta atau Tangerang, sebanyak 138 responden. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Experience in Close Relationship Revised dan the Revised Conflict Tactics Scale. Uji korelasi menggunakan Spearman’s Rho dan dilanjutkan dengan uji regresi, menghasilkan adanya pengaruh dimensi attachment avoidance terhadap dating violence. Terdapat juga pengaruh dimensi attachment anxiety terhadap dating violence. / Many cases of dating violence are happening in Indonesia, even Jakarta and Tangerang are some of the provinces with the highest number of cases of violence in Indonesia. Dating violence is a phenomenon that is most often esperienced by young adults who have a developmental duty to form romantic relationship, where there are dating’s conflicts that are not resolved properly. On the other hand, effective conflict resolution is done through mutual trust and good communication. Conflict resolution is related to adult romantic attachment, especially because of internal working model that represents the experience of individual conflict resolution with their parents which is applied to their romantic relationship. Therefore, this study aims to see the effect of adult romantic attachment to dating violence on dating young adult. The subjects in this study were 138 young adults who are dating for at least 2 years and domiciled in Jakarta or Tangerang. Measuring instruments used are Experience in Close Relationship Revised and the Revised Conflicts Tactics Scale. Correlation test using Spearman’s Rho and continued with regression test, resulted found that dimension of attachment avoidance significantly influencing dating violence. There is also the influence of the dimension of attachment anxiety to dating violence.
