Abstract

Mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi seringkali diperhadapkan dengan berbagai masalah akademik yang akhirnya membuat mereka menjadi stres dan bahkan depresi. Untuk dapat menghindari efek buruk ini mahasiswa memerlukan resiliensi. Kebermaknaan hidup merupakan salah satu aspek yang dianggap memiliki peranan penting dalam mempengaruhi resiliensi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari kebermaknaan hidup terhadap resiliensi yang dimiliki pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Universitas Pelita Harapan. Penelitian ini dihasilkan dari 111 mahasiswa berumur 18-25 tahun yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi di Universitas Pelita Harapan. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kebermaknaan hidup adalah Meaning in Life Measure, sedangkan resiliensi diukur dengan Connor Davidson Resilience Scale 25. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan terdapat pengaruh signifikan kebermaknaan hidup terhadap resiliensi pada mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi di Universitas Pelita Harapan (r=.55,R2=.32;p<.05./ Final year students who are working on their thesis are often faced with various academic problems which eventually make them stressed and even depressed. To be able to avoid this bad effect, students need resilience. The meaning in life is one aspect that is considered to have an important role in influencing resilience. This research was conducted to determine the effect of meaning in life on the resilience of final year students at Pelita Harapan University. This study resulted from 111 students aged 18-25 years who are working on their thesis at Pelita Harapan University. The instrument used to measure the meaning of life is the meaning in life measure, while resilience is measured by the Connor Davidson resilience scale 25. The results of this study show that there is a significant effect of meaning in life on resilience in students who are working on their thesis at Pelita Harapan University (r = .55 , r2 = .32; p <.05).
