Abstract
Pembangunan jembatan Suramadu akan menghubungkan Pulau Jawa dengan Pulau Madura, bertujuan untuk memperluas kawasan pembangunan Kota Surabaya. Jembatan ini akan melintasi Selat Madura dengan panjang total 5.438 meter dan dengan rata-rata kedalaman muka air laut kurang lebih 20 meter. Konstruksi bentang tengah menggunakan sistem konstruksi jembatan cable stayed dengan lebar bentang utama 434 meter dengan bentang sisi simetris 192 meter sehingga panjang total jembatan cable stayed adalah 818 meter. Laporan kerja praktek ini akan melaporkan garis besar pelaksanaan di proyek pembangunan jembatan pada bentang tengah dan secara khusus akan membahas cara kerja sistem konstruksi cable stayed tersebut, termasuk masalah-masalah yang dihadapi di lapangan.
