Abstract
Meningkatkan kekuatan tanah lempung untuk digunakan sebagai dasar sebuah konstruksi jalan dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan stabilisasi tanah dengan cara mekanis maupun dengan cara kimiawi. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan penambahan semen Portland terhadap tanah lempung untuk mengkaji nilai CBR dan kuat dukung tanahnya. Semen Portland dicampurkan dengan tanah yang sudah disediakan terlebih dahulu dalam bentuk sampel sebanyak 3 buah, dengan kadar 3%, 7%, dan 10%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan untuk tanah asli (tanah lempung) mempunyai nilai CBR sebesar 16.4% dan kuat dukung tanah sebesar 11.71 kg/cm2. Sedangkan campuran tanah dengan semen dengan kadar semen 3% mempunyai nilai CBR sebesar 18.13% dan kuat dukung tanah sebesar 11.86 kg/cm2. Untuk tanah dengan kadar semen 7% mempunyai nilai CBR sebesar 23.53% dan kuat dukung tanah sebesar 12.32 kg/cm2. Untuk tanah dengan kadar semen 10% mempunyai nilai CBR sebesar 28.61% dan kuat dukung tanah sebesar 12.40 kg/cm2./ Increasing the strength of clay soil is used as the basis of road construction can be done with ground stabilization with the mechanical or chemical ways. At this final assignment Portland cement is used as an additive to the clay soil to assess the value of CBR and soil strength. Portland cement mixed with soil that has been provided in 3 samples, with a percentage of 3%, 7%, and 10%. The result of this research for the soil (clay soil) has a CBR value of 16.4% and soil strength of 11.71 kg/cm2. Meanwhile, soil-cement mixture with a percentage of 3% has a CBR value of 18.13% and soil strength of 11.86 kg/cm2. For soil-cement mixture with a percentage of 7% has a CBR value of 23.53% and soil strength of 12.32 kg/cm2. And for soil-cement mixture with a percentage of 10% have a CBR value of 28.61% and soil strength 12.40 kg/cm2.
