Abstract
Beton merupakan salah satu bahan konstruksi yang paling banyak digunakan selama ini, baik beton tanpa tulangan maupun beton yang menggunakan tulangan. Seiring dengan perkembangan dalam bidang konstruksi, terutama dalam bidang teknologi beton, serat mulai digunakan sebagai bahan tambahan pada campuran beton. Serat yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah serat alam, yaitu serat serabut kelapa, serat karung goni, serat bambu kasar dan serat bambu halus. Keempat macam serat alam tersebut ditambahkan pada campuran beton dalam 3 variasi persentase yang berbeda – beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan serat pada campuran beton mutu tinggi terhadap kekuatan geser pada balok beton mutu tinggi. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan peningkatan kekuatan geser sebesar 20% dibandingkan tanpa serat, terutama pada serat serabut kelapa./ Concrete is a construction material that was most used for this, both concrete with reinforcement and without reinforcement. The advanced in Concrete Technology enables us to use fibre as an additive for concrete mix design. Fiber used in this research is the natural fiber, the fiber of coconut fiber, jute sack fiber,coarse bamboo fiber and fine bamboo fiber. The four kinds of natural fiber is added to the concrete mixture in 3 variations in different percentage. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of nature fibre usage in concrete mixture on increasing shear strength high performance concrete beam. The result shows increase of shear strength about 20%, especially compare for samples using coconut fiber compare with samples without fibers.
