Abstract

Permasalahan pemanasan global yang disebabkan banyaknya CO2 yang naik ke atmosfir, sehingga menyebabkan bumi tidak dapat memantulkan panas radiasi matahari seluruhnya. Industri pabrik semen yang berperan penting dalam pembangunan infrastruktrur, ternyata juga sangat berperan dalam masalah pemanasan global. Dari jumlah berat semen yang diproduksi, menghasilkan juga 90 % dari CO2 dari berat semen, sehingga perlu dilakukan efisiensi penggunaan semen. Abu sekam padi yang mempunyai ukuran skala mikro dan memiliki kandungan silika (SiO2) yang banyak, dapat menambah kuat tekan semen jika dicampurkan pada semen. Pada penelitian ini akan digunakan dua jenis abu sekam padi, yaitu abu sekam padi dengan pembakaran suhu 250 oC dan abu sekam padi dengan pembakaran suhu 600 oC. dua jenis abu sekam padi ini, akan dibandingkan pengaruhnya terhadap kuat tekan mortar semen, dan juga kuat tekan mortar semen yang dicampur dengan silika industri. Masing – masing penambahan silikanya adalah 5 %, 7.5 %, dan 10 % dari berat semen. Benda uji tersebut akan di uji tekan pada umur 7, 14, dan 28 hari./ The Problem of global warming caused by CO2 in great quantities, It’s make the earth can’t reflective the solar radiation. The cement industrial that have influence by development of infrastructure, but it’s have to make of global warming too. From the weight cement production that raise 90% CO2. So needed efficiency of cement uses. Rice husk ash that have microscopic size and a lot of silica (SiO2), It’s can make rise of compressive strength of hydraulic cement mortar. In this research, it’s use two kind of rice husk ash, the first rice husk ash burned in temperature 250 oC, and the second burned in temperature 600 oC. It’s will be added to the cement and compared of compressive strength of hydraulic cement mortar with cement and cement added industry silica. Every sample added silica is 5 %, 7.5 %, 10 % from weight of cement. Sample will be test of compressive strength in 7, 14, and 28 day.
