Abstract

Pada penelitian ini difokuskan pada analisis perilaku dari beton uji yang mengalami pengekangan. Ada dua macam pengekang yang digunakan, yaitu satu pengekang dari pelat tebal dan satunya pengekang dari pelat tipis (membran). Pengekang yang digunakan berbentuk cincin yang diikatkan pada beton. Adanya gaya prategang pada cincin akan menyebabkan tegangan yang menekan beton ke melawan gaya lateral yang ditimbulkan. Tegangan ini akan bekerja sebagai pengekang aktif. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengetesan silinder dan prisma beton untuk mengetahui perilaku hubungan desak aksial dengan efek pengekangan setempat pada beton. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa pengekangan dengan cincin baja dapat meningkatkan kuat tekan beton, memperbaiki daktilitas dan mengubah pola keruntuhan dari benda uji./ This research focuses on analysis of behaviour concrete which confined by ring. The method in this research uses steel ring with pre-stress force that places around the concretes. It uses two kinds of rings, one ring with thick plate, and the other is membrane plate. Pre-stress force on the ring will cause stress that compress the concrete. In this research, we tested concrete cylinder and prism concrete to understand the behavior of aksial stressing and the confinment effect of concrete. The results showed that external lateral prestressing increase thecompressive strength of concrete, improve the ductility and change the failure pattern of the specimen .
