The rise of fashion blogs in the blogosphere is something that shouldn't be ignored these days. The fashion bloggers are now a part of the fashion world whereby they are invited to many noted fashion events including the biannual fashion week and product release. Looking further to their success, it would be impossible for them to achieve it without the role of their visitors or readers. In fact, they are the key roles in determining the popularity of a particular fashion blog. This study aims to explore more on the active audience of the blog A Diary of the Riotous Belle , whereby the Uses and Gratifications Theory is applied. With a qualitative approach, this research uses the Depth Interview Method in order to get the information regarding the visitors needs and gratifications. Six chosen informants were interviewed with a series of questions derived from Uses and Gratifications typologies. The research findings show that different audience with various circumstances will voice out different perspectives of their needs. Furthermore, this research also discovered the informants' reasons for media use include passing time, companionship, excitement, escape, enjoyment, social interaction, relaxation, obtaining information, diversion, personal relationship, personal identity, surveillance, and connection with others. As for the Uses and Gratifications Theory itself, it could be concluded that the theory is effective and applicable for today's new media.
