Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua variabel, yaitu neuroticism dan adiksi online games. Subjek yang diambil oleh peneliti adalah remaja akhir yang berdomisili di Jakarta dan Tangerang. Alasan peneliti mengambil subjek remaja akhir adalah karena mereka memiliki lebih banyak waktu luang dari pada orang dewasa (Griffiths, 2010). Dalam karya penelitian tugas akhir ini metode penulisan yang penulis gunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari tugas akhir ini, penelitian ini menghasilkan korelasi yang negatif sebesar r=-.472 dengan taraf signifikansi p = .000 (p < 0.05) antara neuroticism dengan adiksi online games pada remaja akhir. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat neuroticism individu, maka tingkat adiksi online games pada remaja akhir akan semakin menurun, begitu juga sebaliknya, semakin tinggi tingkat adiksi online games, semakin menurun tingkat neuroticism individu./In this study, writer uses two variables namely neuroticism and online games addiction. The subjects taken by the writer were late adolescence who lived in Jakarta and Tangerang. The reason the researchers took the subjects of late adolescence is because they have more free time than adults (Griffiths, 2010). In this research work, the writing method that the writer uses is quantitative method. Based on the results obtained from this research, produces a negative correlation of r = -. 472 with a significance level of p = .000 (p <0.05) between neuroticism and online games addiction in late adolescents. The authors concluded that the higher the level of individual neuroticism, the lower the level of online games addiction in late adolescents, and vice versa, the higher the level of online game addiction, the lower the level of individual neuroticism.
