Abstract

Indonesia has a wide variety of diversities, one of which is the diversity in the belief system and culture as an entity, but it is not always in line with the expectations. The community and family influence the values of togetherness. Education in the school environment is so important. This research was conducted to know how the roles of the school, teacher, family and society to tolerate in the belief system and culture. The subjects of the study were five-to-six year old kids in the Charlita Kindergarten, Cipanas and consisted of 15 students, with the qualitative research design in a descriptive study. The data were obtained through observations, field notes, image documentations and interview recordings of the participants. The results of the study indicate the needs to establish continuous cooperation between the school, teachers, parents and the community in fostering the values of tolerance in the students and to design the learning activities appropriate to the developmental stages according to their ages. It can be underlined that familiarity and role modeling play an important role in the education of tolerance at an early childhood. / Indonesia memiliki berbagai macam keragaman, salah satunya adalah keragaman dalam kepercayaan dan budaya menjadi satu kesatuan, namun tidak selalu sesuai harapan. Lingkungan Masyarakat dan keluarga mempengaruhi nilainilai kebersamaan. Pendidikan di lingkungan sekolah sangat berperan. Penelitan ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peranan sekolah, guru, keluarga dan masyarakat untuk bertoleransi dalam kepercayaan dan budaya. Subyek penelitian adalah peserta didik yang berusia lima sampai enam tahun di TK. Charlita, Cipanas sebanyak 15 siswa dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan studi deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, catatan lapangan, dokumentasi gambar dan rekaman wawancara partisipan. Hasil penelitian nampak perlu adanya kerjasama yang berkesinambungan antara sekolah, guru, orangtua dan masyarakat dalam menumbuhkan nilai toleransi pada peserta didik serta merancang kegiatan pembelajaran yang sesuai tahap perkembangan sesuai usia. Dapat digarisbawahi bahwa pembiasaan dan panutan sangat berperan dalam pendidikan toleransi di usia dini.
