Abstract

Tanah lempung ekspansif memiliki sifat kembang susut yang tinggi dan sifat-sifat yang buruk, seperti daya dukung rendah. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasinya yaitu melakukan stabilisasi tanah secara kimiawi/grouting dengan penambahan serbuk limbah marmer yang mengandung kapur tohor (CaO) dan biogoruting dengan bakteri Bacillus megaterium. Serbuk limbah marmer dapat menyerap air untuk mengurangi sifat pengembangan dan mengikat butiran tanah untuk menaikan daya dukung. Selain itu, penggunaan bakteri Bacillus megaterium juga mempunyai potensi dalam menghasilkan kalsium karbonat (CaC ) dengan berbagai macam media yang dapat mengikat butiran tanah untuk menaikan daya dukung tanah. Pengujian dilakukan dengan uji derajat pengembangan Califronia Bearing Ratio terendam, uji kepadatan Proctor Standar, dan kuat tekan Califronia Bearing Ratio terendam dengan memanfaatkan serbuk limbah marmer dengan kadar variasi campuran yang berbeda hasil pemeraman 24 jam dan bakteri hasil pemeraman 30 hari. Hasil menunjukan adanya penurunan derajat pengembangan pada sampel tanah dengan kadar campuran serbuk limbah marmer yang optimum, yaitu dengan kadar 12% sebesar 79.82%, peningkatan nilai kepadatan sebesar 5,41%, peningkatan nilai kuat tekan sebesar 152.09%, dan Sampel tanah dengan bakteri Bacillus megaterium 25 ml menunjukan penurunan derajat pengembangan sebesar 86.8% dan peningkatan kuat tekan sebanyak 38,44%. / The expansive clay soil has high swelling properties and another poor properties, such as low compression strength. the poor properties of the expansive clay soil can be chemically stabilize by adding a waste marble powder that contain Calcium Oxide (CaO) and Bacillus megaterium bacteria. The high swelling properties and the compression strength and of an expansive clay soil could be improved by adding a waste marble powder. Bacillus megaterium bacteria had a potential to produce Calcium Carbonate (CaC ) with a various kind of medium, which could be used for binding the soil particles and improving the compression strength. This research use Standard Proctor Test and Califronia Bearing Ratio with a various mixture of waste marble powder (24 hours curing) and Bacillus megaterium bacteria (30 days curing). The results showed the reduction of swell degree with 12% waste marble powder in the amount of 79.82%, increasement of the soil maximum density in the amount of 5.41%, increasement CBR strength in the amount of 152.09%. Soil sampel with 25ml Bacillus megaterium bacteria could decreased swell degree in the amount of 86.8%. and increased CBR strength in the amount of 38,44%.
