Abstract
Tanah ekspansif (expansive soil) sangat mengganggu pembangunan di Indonesia, mulai dari bangunan tinggi hingga pada pembangunan infrastruktur. Semua beban pembangunan akan menuju ke tanah. Kuat geser pada tanah merupakan parameter yang sangat penting dalam menunjukkan daya dukung tanah. Stabilisasi tanah ekspansif akan dilakukan dengan metode biogrouting. Pengetesan dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh bakteri dengan variasi waktu perendaman dan jumlah kultur cair dalam memperbaiki sifat dari tanah ekspansif. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil dari stabilisasi biogrouting terbukti dapat memperbaiki sifat ekspansif mengacu pada pengetesan free swelling test bakteri kombinasi Bacillus megaterium dan Bacillus subtilis dapat menurunkan derajat ekspansif dari 103.7% menjadi 73.07% dan hasil tersebut apabila melihat pada FSI index derajat ekspansif berubah derajat tinggi menjadi sedang. Sementara pada hasil uji unconfined compression test didapatkan nilai kohesi bakteri kombinasi Bacillus megaterium dan subtilis mengalami kenaikan dari 0.229 kg/cm2 menjadi 0.345 kg/cm2 dan pada pengetesan direct shear mengalami kenaikan dari 0.0104 kg/cm2 menjadi 0.0299 kg/cm2. / Expansive soil creates a serious construction issues in Indonesia, from high rise building to infrastructure. All the construction weight will be shifted on to the ground. Shear strength on soil is a very important parameter to show the capability of the soil to hold the construction. Expansive soil stabilization will be done by biogrouting method. This test was conducted to analyze the reaction of bacteria with variation of immersion time and amount of liquid culture to increase shear strength of the soil and improve degree expansive properties. In this research, the result of biogrouting stabilization improve shear strength of the soil and can improve the expansive degree due to free swelling test, expansive degree increase from 103.7% to 73.07% and due to FSI index expansive degree decrease from high degree to moderate. The result of unconfined compression test was obtained from Bacillus megaterium and Subtilis combination increase cohesion from 0.229 kg / cm2 to 0.345 kg / cm2 and in direct shear test cohesion increase from 0.0104 kg / cm2 to 0.0299 kg / cm2.
