Abstract
Playing is a fun learning activity. Through playing, students can learn the
learning materials easily. One of the learning activities that can be done for the
children of ages 7-8 is role play. Role play can improve students’ cooperation,
learning motivation, and achievement. This study aims to find the differences of
students’ cooperation, learning motivation, and achievement through role play in
Mandarin lesson of grade 2C students. The research subjects were 27 students of
2C class of Elementary School XYZ. The methodology used in this study was a
quantitative research with pre-experimental one group pre-test and post-test
design. After the treatments, there were an increment in the students’ cooperation
(N-Gain = 0,6 in medium category), a learning motivation (N-Gain = 0,6 in
medium category), and an achievement (N-Gain = 0,62 in medium category). The
result has shown improvements in students’ cooperation, learning motivation, and
achievement. / Bermain merupakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Melalui
kegiatan bermain, siswa dapat menyerap materi pembelajaran dengan lebih mudah.
Salah satu kegiatan bermain yang dapat dilakukan bagi anak usia 7-8 tahun yaitu
kegiatan bermain peran (role play). Kegiatan ini dapat mengembangkan sikap
kerja sama dan memotivasi siswa untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang terdapat pada sikap kerja sama,
motivasi belajar, dan prestasi belajar melalui role play dalam pembelajaran bahasa
Mandarin untuk siswa kelas 2C. Subjek penelitian adalah 27 siswa kelas 2C SD
XYZ. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, pra-eksperimental
one group pretest-posttest design. Terdapat peningkatan terhadap sikap kerja
sama (N-Gain = 0,6 kategori sedang), motivasi belajar (N-Gain = 0,6 kategori
sedang), dan prestasi belajar (N-Gain = 0,62 kategori sedang) setelah mendapat
perlakuan role play. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terdapat
peningkatan dalam sikap kerja sama, motivasi belajar, dan prestasi belajar.
