Abstract
Persaingan di industri minyak goreng kelapa sawit bermerk sangat ketat, selain bersaing dengan minyak goreng bermerk lainnya, juga harus bersaing dengan minyak goreng jenis curah (tidak bermerk) yang harganya lebih murah. Promosi yang tepat sangatlah dibutuhkan, mengingat pada dasaraya komponen minyak goreng kelapa sawit ini sama. Meskipun periklanan sebenarnya merupakan salah satu unsur dari promosi, tapi biasanya periklanan mendapat porsi paling besar dalam anggaran biaya yang disediakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan kegiatan periklanan, menganalisis pengaruh periklanan terhadap peningkatan volume penjualan, dan mengidentifikasi faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan kegiatan periklanan minyak goreng Bimoli oleh PT Intiboga Sejahtera. Data primer didapat dengan cara mewawancarai Strategic Business Unit Manager Bimoli, sedangkan data sekunder didapat dari data internal perusahaan. Digunakan perhitungan regresi untuk mengukur hubungan antara biaya periklanan Bimoli dengan nilai penjualan Bimoli dan meramalkan pengaruhnya dengan menggunakan program SPSS 10.0 for Windows. Hasilnya terdapat hubungan yang cukup signifikan antara biaya periklanan dan nilai penjualan minyak goreng Bimoli. Hal ini disebabkan pelaksanaan kegiatan periklanan yang dilakukan perusahaan sudah berjalan dengan cukup baik.
