Abstract
A large amount of sexual violent and woman’s subordination is urging the
Komisi Nasional Anti Kekerasan Terhadap Perempuan (Komnas Perempuan) to
involve Cyberfeminism movement through social media, Facebook. The main
purpose of this movement is set woman free from subordinate and patriarchal
domination. New media is also used to empowering and breaking woman from
male-dominated.
The observation is using qualitative analysis with virtual ethnography
methods. Participant observation as a method of data collection to the Facebook
page of Komnas Perempuan, also with documents and online interview with
Komnas Perempuan and virtual group of Facebook page Kommas Perempuan.
The final observation is prove that cyberfeminism in Facbeook page of
Komnas Perempuan got three communication pattern, bottom up, centered and
interactive. Cyberfeminism in Facebook page of Komnas have a possibility to
empowering and breaking woman, and make them fully participated and concern
about it. Honestly, the interaction communication that happened to Facebook page
creating a conflict and showing the real life of male-dominated instead. / Banyaknya kekerasan seksual dan subordinasi terhadap perempuan
mendorong Komisi Nasional Anti Kekerasan Terhadap Perempuan (Komnas
Perempuan) aktif melakukan gerakan cyberfeminisme menggunakan media sosial
Facebook. Gerakan cyberfeminisme tersebut bertujuan untuk membebaskan
perempuan dari subordinasi dan dominasi patriarkal. New media digunakan untuk
memberdayakan dan membebaskan perempuan dari male-dominated.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi
virtual. Sedangkan pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan
observasi partisipan di page Facebook Komnas Perempuan, serta studi
kepustakaan dan interview online dengan Komnas Perempuan dan lima orang
anggota page Facebook Komnas Perempuan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam gerakan cyberfeminisme di
page Facebook Komnas Perempuan terbentuk pola komunikasi yang
berkesinambungan, yang terdiri dari tiga pola komunikasi yaitu bottom up, pola
komunikasi terpusat dan pola interaktif. Gerakan cyberfeminisme di page
facebook Komnas Perempuan memungkinkan terjadi pemberdayaan dan
pembebasan perempuan, dimana perempuan dapat berpartisipasi dan berpikir
secara penuh. Namun di sisi lain interaksi komunikasi yang terjadi dalam page
facebook tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan konflik dan justru merefleksikan
male-dominated kehidupan riil.
