Abstract
Kualitas udara yang kini kian memburuk dapat mengancam kelangsungan seluruh makhluk hidup mulai dari manusia, hewan, hingga tumbuhan. WHO (World Health Organization) mengatakan bahwa 93% populasi manusia di dunia hidup di area dengan kualitas udara sangat buruk yang telah melebihi batas aman. Karbon monoksida (CO) adalah salah satu gas berbahaya yang harus diperhatikan oleh manusia. Gas ini dapat mengakibatkan masalah serius pada kesehatan manusia. Gas jenis karbon monoksida yang timbul akibat adanya proses pembakaran yang disebabkan oleh kendaraan bermotor yang menggunakan bahan bakar cair, asap industri, ataupun sisa hasil pembakaran sampah. PT. XYZ turut berkontribusi terhadap konsentrasi gas di udara. Tujuan dari sistem ini adalah membangun alat yang nantinya bertujuan untuk mengukur kualitas udara di sekitar area perusahaan. Sistem ini dapat menginformasikan kepada seluruh karyawan tentang kualitas udara di tempat area beraktivitas mereka dengan menggunakan smartphone. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan di PT. XYZ berhasil menampilkan nilai dari kadar gas CO dengan satuan ppm dengan menggunakan LCD 2x16 maupun pada aplikasi Blynk. Terlihat dari data kalibrasi hasil perhitungan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan total selisih antara sensor MQ-7 dengan Smart Sensor AS 8700A sebesar 3,77%. Untuk alat pengukuran CO standar margin error dapat diterima sampai 5%. Ini membuktikan bahwa alat yang dirancang margin error dapat diterima. / The now deteriorating air quality can threaten the survival of all living things ranging from humans, animals to plants. WHO (World Health Organization) says that 93% of the world's population lives in areas with very poor air quality that has exceeded safe limits. Carbon monoxide (CO) is a dangerous gas that must be considered by humans. This gas can cause serious problems in human health. Carbon monoxide gas type which arises due to the combustion process caused by motor vehicles that use liquid fuel, industrial smoke, or the rest of the combustion results of waste. PT. XYZ also contributes to the concentration of gas in the air. The purpose of this system is to build a tool which later aims to measure the air quality around the company's area. This system can inform all employees about the air quality in their area of activity using an smartphone. From the results of research that has been done at PT. XYZ successfully displays the value of CO gas levels in ppm units using the 2x16 LCD or the Blynk application. It can be seen from the calibration data of the calculation results in this study that the total difference between the MQ-7 sensor and the AS 8700A Smart Sensor is 3.77%. For standard CO measurement tools, the error margin is acceptable up to 5%. This proves that the tool designed for error margin is acceptable.
