Abstract

These days, a building is supported by a lot of equipments. To control all equipments, workers have to go to field and operating them manually. This fact requires energy and time to operate and control equipments. The more time and energy are consumed, the more money is expensed. Along with expanding science and technology, human being claimed to be able to conduct its work effectively and efficiently. For that reason, an automation system is required to be able to replace human being with limitation of ability, time, and energy. By using an automation system, a limited human resource can control equipments in many tasks through a computer. The aim of this field work is to study how the automation system, called Building Automation System (BAS). Especially the automation system use SAIABurgess PLC with PG5 programming language. How to program Building Automation System menu is also studied. This facilitates users in operating Building Automation System by using Visi Plus programming Language. This field work is limited at how to program Building Automation System to control and monitor Lamp, Chiller, and Cooler and also to monitor Fire System, Escalator, and Elevator.
