Abstract

At big intersection, traffic jam could have happened anytime if there is nobody or nothing that is responsible for the traffic. Traffic light is made to overcome this thing. Because of that, traffic light becomes one of the important things in big town's roadway. This report describes a program that tries to make a better four sided traffic light. Better traffic light means controllable lights. Device that is used to control the lights is computer. This program is able to control the traffic light manually and automatically. In automatic mode, by inputting time for turning on the green lights, program is able to calculate the time for the red light. There are different times combinations of lights everyday and there are also three different combinations each day which can be changed by the user. These time combinations refer to an interval time when the user want to arrange a longer time for the green light in one side and then change the arrangement to the other side in different time. The combinations can be changed at any time the user wants. In manual mode, the green lights can be turned on and turned off as the user likes with no rule to the timing of turning off or on.
