Abstract

Availabilitas adalah sebuah tuntutan dari jaringan jaman ini, semua orang terhubung dengan internet, dan semua membutuhkan internet untuk beraktivitas. Terlebih lagi sebuah perusahaan, juga membutuhkan konektivitas dengan internet. Pengaturan dan perencanaan yang baik akan membuat tingkat availabilitas tinggi, sehingga tidak akan ada jaringan yang down dan merugikan perusahaan. Analisis dilakukan di jaringan PT. XYZ, sebuah perusahaan kontrakor bangunan tinggi yang berbasis di Jakarta Barat, perusahaan memiliki sebuah jaringan Campus Network yang cukup besar. Dari jaringan ini penelitian dilakukan, tahap pertama dengan merumuskan rekomendasi – rekomendasi sebuah jaringan yang baik. Setelah rekomendasi itu di rumuskan, maka hasil rumusan itu dipakai untuk menganalisa jaringan yang berada di PT. XYZ Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, jaringan yang ada di PT. XYZ memiliki nilai realisasi rekomendasi sebesar 81,48%. Beberapa hal yang bisa di tingkatkan, antara lain adalah menambah jumlah switch di distribution layer agar redundant, dan juga melakukan upgrade dari switch yang sudah tidak di support oleh Cisco. Secara konfigurasi hal yang bisa ditingkatkan antara lain menggunakan Toolkit STP, CEF yang dapat membantu performa dari jaringan dan juga meningkatkan kerja dari jaringan ini. Berberapa rekomendasi diatas dapat diterapkan agar bisa mendapatkan nilai realisasi 100% dan juga secara tidak langsung menjadikan jaringan perusahaan lebih siap jika terjadi masalah. / In this day and age, availability has become a requirement for networks, which everyone needs for activities. Furthermore, for a company internet connectivity is now a requirement. Good configuration and design will result in high availability which prevents network failures that cause losses to the company. The analysis was done on the network of PT. XYZ, a contractor for highrise buildings based in West Jakarta. This company has a campus network that is quite large. In this network, the research was conducted, first by formulating recommendations for a good network. After the recommendations are formulated, the results of said formulations are used to analyze the network in PT. XYZ. According to the research, the network in PT. XYZ has a realization of recommendation score of 81.48%. Some things that can be improved include, adding the number of switches in the distribution layer for redundancy, and upgrading switches which are no longer supported by Cisco. After configuration, some things that can be improved are among others, using STP & CEF toolkits which may help performance of the network and also increase performance. The recommendations can be applied to achieve a realization score of 100%, making the company network more prepared for future problems.
