Abstract

In the next few years, there will be a strong convergence of telecommunication and computer networks which demand a quality of transmission. Therefore, network performance should be repaired. This solution referred to Quality of Service. With QoS, network performance can become much better than before, so all the traffic that across that network can be served based on their priority. In this project, it’s important to understand how to analyze the traffic in the WiFi network dan how to implement QoS by manage the bandwidth based on the most accessed port. The real time traffic being captured by the winbox tools. From this traffic, we can identify what user gained from this network and limit the bandwidth for certain activity. Through this implementation and analysis, it’s found out that bandwidth management is one of the solution for the QoS. Bandwidth management apply in certain port that is used for download, so the students can only used it for education purpose. The limitation of this thesis is: it just covers one of the QoS parameter. For further development, network performance will be more reliable if it can cover all of QoS parameters.
