In order to gain insight on the usage of computer in Universitas Pelita Harapan, a study on it`s environment is done in order to gain deeper understanding and new prespective upon usage and need of staff in Universitas Pelita Harapan. Central Processing Unit as one of the important part that mostly affect a computer performance is chosen within this study to determine the overall effect of computer performance. As load, software that are mostly used in Universitas Pelita Harapan environment is chosen and tested to see if there are effect upon the whole system. Other computer components are as best as possible uniformed in order to minimize complexity in the study, but different study will need to be done to gain the overall result of the study. Fisher’s Least Significant Difference is used as the method to analyze the effect of different hardware and software tested in experimentation to proof that there will be significantly different capability, depending on the hardware and software used to run a system. The experiment is done by comparing process idle between hardware and software with Fisher Least Significant Difference while using null hypothesis to ensure the realibilty of the experimentation. From the experiment it’s known only UA1 of other Unit of Analysis have significantly difference performance, while other Unit of Analysis have least significant performanc, based on Fisher’s Least Significant Difference methods. It is hope that future study will give answer to why this is possible.
