Abstract

Nowadays, information and telecommunication are growing in tandem rapidly. Even the need for these technologies increases dramatically. There are many areas that still have unreachable access to telecommunications and information. The constraints that often occur are technology is too expensive and inadequate equipment, as happened in the pre-prosperous region. One of that belongs to that category regions is Sewan, which is located in Tangerang. The solution of this problem is to use broadband technology. Satellite technology used is very expensive, but by using broadband technology what becomes affordable. This technology answers the needs of the pre-prosperous region. Beside the affordable price, this technology is also mobile. Broadband technology would be the best solution for this problem. The result from the signal comparison between GSM and CDMA indicates that signal from GSM is much stronger and stable in Sewan region, Tangerang. Then from the comparison between GSM providers named as A, B, C, D and E we get the result that E has the best signal that is stronger and more stable than the others, that is -70dBm and hasn't experience any leaping or descent for 5 minutes (the length of measuring and recording the data) after determining the best provider to be used, the internet network and topology network can be implemented. According to considerations, the star topology network is applied.
