Medication error merupakan salah satu jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh tenaga kesehatan sehingga merugikan pasien di rumah sakit. Padahal medication error dapat dicegah melalui teknologi Barcode Medication Administration. Bahkan pada beberapa studi sudah diketahui bahwa penggunaan teknologi Barcode Medication Administration efektif menurunkan tingkat kesalahan administrasi pengobatan. Kajian literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas teknologi Barcode Medication Administration dalam mencegah medication error dari berbagai sumber artikel. Proses seleksi artikel dilakukan dengan menggunakan Flow Diagram PRISMA. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kajian literatur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pencarian menggunakan database (EBSCO dan Google Scholar) dan analisa data menggunakan pendekatan sederhana (simplified approach). Hasil penelitian dikaji dari lima artikel yang berbeda tingkatan bukti. Kesimpulan: teknologi BCMA efektif mencegah medication error = Medication error is one type of mistake made by health workers thus harming the patient in the hospital. Though medication error can be prevented through Barcode Medication Administration technology. Even in some studies it is known that the use of Barcode Medication Administration technology effectively lowering the level of medication administration errors. This literature review aims to determine the effectiveness of Barcode Drug Administration technology in preventing treatment errors from various articles. The article process is done by using PRISMA Flow Diagram. Research is done by examining the literature. Data collection was done by searching databases (EBSCO and Google Scholar) and data analysis using a simplified approach. The results of the study were examined from 5 different articles of the proof chapter. Conclusion: BCMA technology effectively prevents treatment errors.
