Abstract

Medication error merupakan salah satu masalah yang muncul di rumah sakit yang mengancam keselamatan pasien di rumah sakit. Medication error bisa terjadi pada beberapa fase salah satunya pada fase administrasi yakni fase medication error yang terjadi pada saat pemberian obat kepada pasien dan akan membawa dampak yang buruk atau merugikan pasien baik itu menyebabkan cedera ringan sampai dengan cedera berat sekalipun. Salah satu cara untuk menangani medication error ini yakni dengan mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab medication error di rumah sakit, dan menurut beberapa penelitian sebelumnya dikatakan bahwa karakteristik individu perawat merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menyebabkan medication error oleh sebab itu penulis ingin meneliti tentang hubungan karakteristik individu perawat dengan medication error pada fase administrasi di Satu Rumah Sakit Swasta Indonesia Bagian Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif sampel yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel jenuh dengan analisa data univariat dan bivariate. Untuk mengetahui hubungan karakteristik individu perawat dengan medication error pada fase administrasi digunakan uji statistik chi square. Dari hasil analisis data didapat hasil dari variabel usia tidak memiliki hubungan dengan medication error karena nilai p value =1,000 dan variabel tingkat pendidikan tidak memilki hubungan dengan medication error karena nilai p value =0,515. Dan didapat hasil dari variabel masa kerja dengan nilai p value = 0,028 karena nilai p<0,05 dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan masa kerja dengan medication error di Satu Rumah Sakit Swasta Indonesia Bagian Barat = Medication error is one of the problems that arise in hospitals that threaten patients' safety at the hospital. Medication errors can occur in some phases one of them in the administrative phase of the phase medication error that occurs at the time of drug delivery to the patient and will bring adverse effects or harm the patient whether it causes minor injuries to severe injury though. One way to handle this medication error is by knowing the factors causing medication error in the hospital, and according to some previous research said that characteristics individual nurse is one factor that can cause medication error therefore researcher want to research about nurse individual relationship with medication error in the administrative phase at one of Private Hospital in West of Indonesia. This research is a quantitative research sample used in this study amounted to 40 people with saturated sampling technique with univariate data analysis and bivariate. To determine the relationship between characteristics individual nurses with medication errors in the administration phase, used chi square statistical test. From the result of data analysis obtained the result of the age variable does not have a relationship with medication error because p value = 1,000 and the level of education does not have a relationship with medication error because the p value = 0,515. And gets the result from variable of working period with value p value = 0,028 because p value <0,05 so it can be concluded that there is correlation of working period with medication error at one of Private Hospital in West of Indonesia.
