Abstract

Penyakit nosokomial terjadi karena infeksi dapat terjadi antara pasien dan tenaga kesehatan yang bekerja pada perawatan kesehatan. Tenaga kesehatan mengetahui cara melakukan cuci tangan, namun masih rendah pelaksanaannya. Salah satu faktornya adalah perawat, berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dan hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan tentang five moments hand hygiene baik, namun pelaksanaan five moments hand hygiene tidak konsisten dan masih di bawah benchmark rumah sakit. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dengan kepatuhan responden dalam penerapan five moments hand hygiene di satu rumah sakit Swasta Indonesia Bagian Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode korelasional kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dan observasi pada 30 Juni sampai 19 Juli 2018 dengan teknik total sampling yaitu sebanyak 55 responden. Hasil penelitian dengan analisa bivariat menggunakan uji chi-square didapatkan hasil ρ value = 0,634, ρ > 0,05 menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan kepatuhan responden dalam penerapan five moments hand hygiene. Saran bagi rumah sakit dan responden adalah sosialisasi Standar Prosedur Operasional (SPO) dan monitoring secara terkontrol, serta perlunya kesadaran tinggi untuk peningkatan kebersihan tangan = Nosocomial disease occurs because infection can occur between patients and health workers working on health care. Health worker know how to do hand hygiene, but still low to improving. One of the factor is nurses, based on the data obtained and result of the pilot study showed that knowledge of the five moments hand hygiene was good, but the implementation of the five moments hand hygiene are not consistent and still below the benchmark in the hospital. The purpose of this research is to identify the correlation between the level of knowledge and compliance the respondents of the application five moments hand hygiene in the one of Western Indonesian Private Hospital. The method used in this research is quantitative correlational method with cross sectional approach. The research instrument used questionnaires and observations on 30th June to 19th July 2018 of the total sampling technique, which were 55 respondents. The research results with bivariate analyze uses the chi-square test with ρ value = 0,634, ρ > 0,05 indicates that there is no meaningful correlation between the level of knowledge and respondents compliance of the application five moments hand hygiene. Recommendation for the hospital and respondents is socialization Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) and monitoring need to be carried out in a controlled, also need for high consciousness to enchancement hand hygiene.
