Abstract
In their routines, leaders can enjoy day after day according to their habits. But
not when organizational changes take place. Anxiety awakens everyone, including
those who have faith. The story of David and Saul gives an illustration of how
Christian leaders can maintain their integrity by being attached to God and who
do not follow God's commands because he is immersed in his anxiety. Anxiety
comes in the form of survival anxiety or learning anxiety when leader meets
organizational changes vis-à-vis. The practice of integrity requires a true
understanding, a personal relationship with God and an awareness of coram Deo.
This study examines how a Christian leader defines integrity and practices integrity
in the midst of organizational change. This type of research is a qualitative research
using qualitative content analysis method. Based on the results of the analysis, true
understanding leads the research participant to always realize that he is living in
the presence of God all the time and his practice of integrity tends to be sincere and
consistent when survival anxiety is in charge due to the challenges faced amid
organizational changes. The research findings are presented in the form of
constructive narrative as a form of self-reflection on the practice of integrity of a
leader with a survival anxiety in mind due to organizational change. The result is
the research subject shows an example of an educational Christian leader who
embodies integrity over his anxious feeling. / Dalam rutinitas sehari-hari, pemimpin bisa menikmati hari lepas hari seturut
kebiasaannya. Berbeda dengan keadaan di tengah perubahan keorganisasian,
kegelisahan dapat muncul bagi siapa saja termasuk mereka yang beriman sekali
pun. Kisah Daud dan Saul memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana pemimpin
Kristen yang tetap berintegritas karena melekat pada Allah dan yang tidak
mengikuti perintah Tuhan karena tenggelam dalam kegelisahan. Kegelisahan yang
dimaksud adalah keraguan untuk bertahan atau keraguan untuk belajar dalam
menghadapi perubahan keorganisasian. Praktik integritas memerlukan pemahaman
yang benar, hubungan pribadi dengan Allah dan kesadaran tentang coram Deo.
Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana seorang pemimpin Kristen memaknai integritas
dan melakukan praktik integritas di tengah perubahan keorganisasian. Jenis
penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode analisis isi
kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa pemahaman yang benar
menuntun subyek penelitian untuk semakin menyadari bahwa dirinya hidup di
hadapan Allah senantiasa dan praktik integritas subyek penelitian cenderung berciri
ketulusan dan konsistensi ketika menghadapi kecemasan untuk bertahan karena
tantangan-tantangan yang dihadapi di tengah perubahan keorganisasian. Temuan
penelitian ditampilkan dalam bentuk narasi konstruktif sebagai bentuk refleksi diri
tentang praktik integritas di tengah kegelisahan akibat perubahan keorganisasian.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan subyek penelitian sebagai pemimpin Kristen yang
berintegritas meskipun tengah mengalami kegelisahan akibat perubahan.
