Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO, 2011) mempublikasikan data bahwa infeksi nosokomial yang terjadi di Indonesia adalah sebanyak 7,1%. Data awal di rumah sakit menunjukkan adanya infeksi nosokomial terkait luka operasi yang terjadi di ruang rawat inap lantai enam pada tahun 2017, angka rata-rata angka kepatuhan perawat dalam melaksanakan hand hygiene dalam bulan Januari-Juni 2017 adalah 74,98%. Melakukan hand hygiene dengan benar dan tepat akan membebaskan tangan dari mikroorganisme dan diharapkan dapat mencegah terjadinya infeksi nosokomial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat kepatuhan perawat dalam melaksanakan hand hygiene five moments dan enam langkah di ruang rawat inap lantai enam (Chrysant) Rumah Sakit Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian observatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 22 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi yang dikembangkan oleh WHO. Hasil penelitian yang didapat adalah tingkat kepatuhan perawat dalam melaksanakan hand hygiene tidak patuh 59% dan kurang patuh (41%). Dari hasil data penelitian perawat di ruang rawat inap lantai enam Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang belum mematuhi pelaksanaan hand hygiene. Diharapkan dilakukan edukasi dan supervisi terhadap perawat terkait pentingnya kegiatan hand hygiene / World Health Organization (WHO, 2011) published data that nosocomial infections that occurred in Indonesia is 7.1%. Primary data at the hospital indicate a nosocomial infection related to surgical wounds occurred in the sixth floor wards on 2017, the average number of nurse compliance hand hygiene in January-June 2017 was 74.98%. Hand hygiene correctly will relieve the hands from microorganisms and is expected can prevent the insidence of nosocomial infections. The purpose of this research is to know the description of nurse compliance level in hand hygiene five moments and six steps in sixth floor inpatient room (Chrysant) of Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital Palembang. The research used descriptive quantitative method with observative research design. This research uses total sampling technique with 22 samples. The instrument used in this study is an observation sheet developed by WHO. The result of this research is the compliance level of nurses in hand hygiene is bad compliance 59% and moderate (41%). From the results of research data nurses in the sixth floor inpatient department Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang is not yet obey to the implementation of hand hygiene. It is hoped that education and supervision of nurses will be related to the importance of hand hygiene activities.
