Background: Healthcare workers who are in the hospital environment often have direct contact with patients should keep hand hygiene by hand washing with running water or hand rub at five moment so that patient and health officer can avoid nosokomial infection. At Bali Siloam Hospital the compliance rate decreased to 58.82% when it was dimoment one and five. Compliance rates of low-level health workers in hand washing and high rates of nosocomial infections make health workers aware of the importance of handwashing. Objective: To see the description of health personnel compliance in carrying out five handwashing times at the Siloam Bali Emergency Room. Research method: Descriptive observational. Total sampling sampling technique. Using univariate data analysis. The research data was taken using handwashed observation sheet adopted from WHO. Result: The percentage of health personnel of 35 obedient people performed five handwashing time as many as 14 people (40%), who did not obey as many as 21 people (60%). Suggestion: Recognize the importance of handwashing five moments and six steps to reduce the risk of nosocomial infection in patients.
