Once developed since the 1970s isolation surveillance methods have been recognized as an important component of an effective infection prevention and control program. In addition to the positive impact of surveillance insulation also has a negative impact on patients. recent studies have shown that isolation control has a negative impact on patients. This literature review aims to analyze the positive and negative impacts of patients on isolation precautions. A total of 630 articles were identified from the database, and 4 selected articles were continued for review. This literature review use a simplified approach thematic analysis. The results showed that the negative impact of isolation precautions reduce patients’ satisfaction levels during hospitalization. And the positive impact is isolation precaution do not worsen the patient's psychological changes when receiving care / Setelah dikembangkan sejak 1970-an metode pengawasan isolasi telah diakui sebagai komponen penting dari program pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi yang efektif. Selain dampak positif pengawasan isolasi juga memiliki dampak negatif bagi pasien. beberapa studi terakhir menunjukkan bahwa pengawasan isolasi memiliki dampak negatif bagi pasien. Kajian literatur ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa dampak positif dan negatif bagi pasien dalam kewaspadaan isolasi. Sejumlah 630 artikel terindentifikasi dari database, dan 4 artikel terseleksi dilanjutkan untuk di review. Kajian literature ini menggunakan analisa tematik simplified approach. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dampak negatif kewaspadaan isolasi mengurangi tingkat kepuasan pasien selama di rumah sakit, dampak positif kewaspadaan isolasi tidak memperburuk perubahan psikologis pasien ketika memperoleh perawatan.
