Background: Motivation to be a nurse will affect the knowledge, attitudes and skills and abilities that will be owned by a nursing student. One of the capabilities referred to is academic achievement expressed in the form of numbers called by Achievement Index. This research was conducted to analyze the relationship between motivation to become a bargain and academic achievement. The difference of opinion about whether or not there is a relationship between motivation to be a nurse and academic achievement of students, both in previous studies and in the initial data, is the reason for researchers to conduct this research. Aim: To know the relationship between final-year student motivation to become a nurse with academic achievement at the Faculty of Nursing Pelita Harapan University Tangerang. Research method: This study use correlational quantitative methods with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this research is a student of the Faculty of Nursing Pelita Harapan University Tangerang amounted to 415 students with a sample number of 224 respondents. The sampling technique to be used is simple random sampling. Data collection implemented in May 2020 and the data be analyzed by bivariate technique. Results: The results of this study show a significant relationship between final-year student motivation to become a nurse and academic achievement at the Faculty of Nursing Pelita Harapan University Tangerang (p value = <0,0001 or p value = < 0,05). Suggestion: Future study are recommended using other variabels such as Environment, talents and interests related to academic achievement.
