Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a health problem and it can causing a multi-organ damage for suffers. Complications that occur in patients with diabetes mellitus one or other is neuropathy and can causing a foot ulcer. To reduce the complications, level of knowledge is an important way to preventing complications. Based on the Indonesian prevalence, there are 176.689.336 citizens have DM. Based on this data, 1,3% of them from Banten, 1,6% of them from South Sumatera, and 1,8% of them from North Sumatera Research Purpose: To identify the level of knowledge of people who suffered DM type 2 to prevent diabetic foot ulcers. Research Methods: This research use quantitative descriptive research methods with purposive sampling . This research happened in April - May 2020 with a research instrument using a questionnaire. The subjects of this research are 59 patients who suffered DM Type 2 in community. Results: The reseached showed that 86.44% of respondents had a high level of knowledge about foot ulcers. Recommendation: For further researchers, it is recommened to discuss the relationship between the level of knowledge of people with DM type 2 against Prevention diabetic foot ulcers.
