Abstract

The aim of the research is to understand how consumers generation Z in south Jakarta shop based on their consumptive behavior, which again is influenced both consciously and unconsciously by retail interior design. This research applies a qualitative approach. In social research, qualitative research methods are often used, one of which is being present in the social situation under investigation. The author enriches data by using survey results from consumers at existing sites and current issues to learn, observe, take notes, and form relationships with subjects. The aim of a research interview is to learn about people's perspectives, perceptions, attitudes, and/or motives on specific topics. Interviews and other qualitative approaches are thought to have a "deeper" interpretation of social phenomena. This project is to create a whole new shopping experience for consumers, especially Generation Z, to try to look beyond its aesthetic while shopping yet also be able to make an individual more ethically conscious in purchasing after being introduced to a new lifestyle to take part in improving our environment through sustainable fashion, ethical and conscious purchasing.
