Abstract

PT. Alam Oil Indonesia is a company that engages in the distribution of palm oil products in Indonesia and foreign countries. The writer discovered that the productivity level of the employees was not bad but could still be optimized. The research was conducted at PT. Alam Oil Indonesia to examine the effect of motivation on employees’ performance. Motivation on employees is vital in any organizations to ensure high productivity; customer satisfaction and also the satisfaction of the employees themselves lead to the growth of an organization as a whole. The methods used by the writer in this research are descriptive method and correlational method. The type of research used is quantitative research. Data analysis method used in the research include descriptive statistic, coefficient of correlation, coefficient of determination, linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing with Z test. The result of coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.240. It means that 24% of employees’ productivity is influenced by motivation. The result of hypothesis z-test indicated that Zcount value obtained was 3.3222 that would be compared with Ztable of 1.96. Zcount (3.3222) is higher than Ztable (1.96). Therefore, hypothesis alternative (Ha) was accepted that Motivation has significant influence Employees Productivity at PT. Alam Oil Indonesia PT. Alam Oil Indonesia should pay attention towards the influence of motivation, such as by giving employees the opportunity to give opinions, frequently giving praise, rewarding employees for their work performance, making employees feel safe and comfortable while doing work in working hours, etc.
