Industri perhotelan di masa kini banyak mengangkat fasilitas sebagai nilai komersil. Fitur hotel yang juga tidak kalah penting di masa kini adalah hotel yang berkategori kids friendly atau ramah anak. Salah satu hotel ramah anak yang berada di Jakarta adalah Hotel Borobudur Jakarta. Namun sejalannya perkembangan pembangunan, fasilitas bermain indoor yang ada di gedung lama mulai terabaikan sehingga menjadi usang dan fasilitas bermain menjadi tidak layak pakai. Kondisi ini menjadi masalah karena tidak mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pengunjung Hotel Borobudur Jakarta. Karena itu perancangan area bermain dibutuhkan. Perancangaan yang mengusung tema penciptaan pertama kali bumi dijadikan dengan alur cerita Alice in Wonderland menjadi konsep besar desain Playspace Borobudur Jakarta. Dengan lahan seluas 1178.21m2 menjadikan tiga tingkat bangunan yang berisi empat area bermain utama, satu restoran dan fasilitas pendukung lainnya. / Hotel industry nowadays has made facilities become additional commercial value. Hotel value that can’t be forgotten is kids-friendly feature. One of the kids-friendly hotel in Jakarta is Hotel Borobudur Jakarta.However, as time goes by, some new building developed but the old one that has indoor playground inside was left behind. This thing become a problem because The Hotel can’t provide what has been needed by the guest. Therefore, the design of a play space is needed. The design itself inspired by the moment when God made the earth along with the fiction story of Alice in Wonderland as the adventure exploration story of this play space. With an existing of 1178.21m2 area, it makes 3 levels which filled with main four indoor playgrounds, one restaurant and other required facilities.
